Claudio Agostinetto - Managing Director

Claudio founded Systems Automation and Management (Pty) Ltd (more commonly known as SAM) in June 1988. He spent the previous 8 years working his way through the ranks at Siemens. His key responsibilities, apart from the day to day running of the operation, are sales and marketing, tendering, budgeting as well as identifying new markets in which to grow and develop the organization as a whole.
Claudio holds a Pr. Eng., BSc Elec. Eng. as well as an MBA. He has been in the industry since 1981.Kobus Jobert - Engineering Manager

Kobus started in the Mining Industry in 1984, developing his career from Instrument Apprentice to Chief C&I Designer at Anglogold. In 2002 Kobus joined SAM as Support Engineer where his experience expanded to include a wide variety of industries such as Automation, PLC and SCADA systems.
In 2005, Kobus was promoted to Engineering Manager. He is responsible for managing and mentoring engineering personnel, acting as system engineer on strategic projects and providing technical solutions and support where necessary.
Kobus holds a NHD (Elec. Eng.: Light Current) and a BTech Elec. Eng.Ryan Els - Marketing & Sales Manager

Ryan has been in the C&I industry since 1991. He started at Siemens in the service department and worked his way up to Divisional Manager in Automation & Drives.
Ryan joined SAM in 2007 where he was employed as a project business development manager and has been involved in numerous large projects.
Weyers van der Merwe - Branch Manager - Durban

Weyers joined the SAM team in August 1999 as a Support Engineer after having spent 6 years within Eskom. In October 2003, Weyers was promoted to his current position as Branch Manager of the Durban office. His portfolio is broad based including managing the branch, remaining hands-on on the technical side as well as being involved in the sales and marketing drive of the Durban branch.
Weyers holds a T3 Electrical Engineering (Light Current) and has experience in the automation industry since 1993.
Pieter Breytenbach - Branch Manager - N. Province

Pieter started his career at SAM as the Regional Representative for the Northern Province and was promoted to Branch Manager, a position he has held since November 1996.
Pieter has been in the C&I industry and in particular worked with Eskom since 1987. His expertise ranges from unit optimisation, developing of standards for the integration of all process information systems, industrial IT to support of our “Visual Automation” data server. Pieter also has extensive knowledge in the coal fired Power Station process and management system. Pieter has a Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Kobus Kotzé - Branch Manager - West Coast

Kobus brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience within the E&I industry. His most significant current achievement was being part of the Iron Ore Expansion Project at Saldanha as an Electrical, Instrumentation & Control service provider. He is also experienced and knowledgeable within the mining industry. He joined SAM in 2009 as branch manager Western Cape.

Pet’r joined SAM in 1991 as head of the computer division and was responsible for the development of the Sicomp 70 mini computer to PC link at Tutuka Power Station. SAM’s "Visual Automation" data server/MIS system has been bought by Siemens Germany to be integrated into Siemens new DCS. Pet’r was responsible for the integration thereof with the Siemens DSC development team in Germany.
Pet’r has a Technical Diploma in Computer Science and a BSc (Computer Science)
